Terms of Service

Effective: August 8, 2026

1. The Service

PriceGazer is a software tool that monitors web pages you specify and alerts you when their content changes. That's the whole thing.

2. Accounts

To use the service, you create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure
• All activity under your account
• Ensuring that the URLs you monitor are publicly accessible and that you have a legitimate interest in monitoring them (e.g., competitive analysis, market research)

You may not use the service to:

• Monitor pages you do not have a legitimate business interest in
• Circumvent paywalls, authentication, or access controls
• Harass, stalk, or invade the privacy of individuals
• Violate any applicable law

3. Payment

The service costs $19 per month (or equivalent in your currency), billed monthly. We use Stripe for payment processing.

• You will be charged at the start of each billing period
• You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard
• Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer partial-month refunds. You are paying for access during the period, not per-check.
• Prices may change in the future. We will notify you 30 days in advance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service responsibly. Specifically:

• Don't try to game the system, probe for vulnerabilities, or abuse the infrastructure
• Don't resell the service or provide access as a third-party service
• Don't use it to monitor pages at a frequency that would constitute a denial-of-service attack
• Don't use it for any illegal purpose

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

The PriceGazer software, design, branding, and infrastructure are our intellectual property. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your internal business purposes. The content of the pages you monitor belongs to their respective owners — we do not claim any ownership of that content.

6. Limitation of Liability

We monitor web pages and alert you when they change. We make no guarantees about:

• Accuracy — we may miss changes (e.g., if a page loads dynamically and requires JavaScript) or report false changes (e.g., if a site's content is randomized)
• Timeliness — checks run on a schedule, not in real-time. There will always be a delay between a change happening and us detecting it.
• Uptime — the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or due to factors outside our control

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PriceGazer and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes lost revenue, missed business opportunities, or decisions made based on change alerts. If you are not comfortable with these limitations, do not use the service.

7. Termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email and via the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing Law

This service is operated from Uruguay. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montevideo, Uruguay. We operate under Uruguayan law.
